When her mother’s purse and her shoes are unearthed up at the new construction site, Annie Natali knew her mother was dead, murdered ten years ago.  She knew it, but could she prove it?  The truth was buried beneath a mountain of lies and guarded by a long-standing tradition of gossip.

Elizabeth Jean Allen grew up in rural Minnesota, but has spent most of her adult life on the shores of South Carolina.  She currently resides in Charleston, SC with her husband Chris and their two sons, Charles and Gregory.  She spends the bulk of the year teaching physical science at one of the largest high schools in South Carolina.  Her free time is spent reading, writing and watching the birds.
